Clarification for Teachers:
I would certainly take some time in class to go over this rubric. I would even bring in some professional newspapers (New York Times, etc.) as a model for spelling, grammar, organization, formatting and accuracy. I would also bring in our high school newspaper to give a different, more realistic standard for students. I would then discuss how close to those models our high school students should get.
